Rooms for Rent in Buenos Aires for International Students & Expats

Piso Compartido is a friendly coliving community in the heart of Buenos Aires, designed for international students, exchange students, digital nomads, and expats planning to stay one month or more. If you're looking to rent a furnished room in a shared apartment with a welcoming international community, you've found the right place.

Each of our shared apartments houses a maximum of seven tenants at any given time. The majority of our flatmates are foreigners — university exchange students, people learning Spanish at a language school, young professionals, and remote workers who've chosen Buenos Aires as their base. The result is a vibrant, multicultural household where you'll make friendships that last well beyond your stay.

Our coliving apartments are fully furnished and include everything you need from day one: 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen (cookware, flatware, fridge with freezer, microwave, washing machine), a balcony with views over a beautiful Buenos Aires park, and all utilities — electricity, gas, WiFi internet, phone lines, and weekly cleaning — included in the rent. No hidden costs, no surprises.

We have both single and shared double rooms available in some of Buenos Aires' most vibrant and safe neighbourhoods:

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to rent a room in Buenos Aires?

Room prices in Buenos Aires vary widely depending on the neighbourhood, room size, and what is included. At Piso Compartido, our prices are competitive and cover everything: furnished room, all utilities, WiFi, and cleaning. Contact us for up-to-date rates — Buenos Aires can be surprisingly affordable for students coming from Europe or North America.

Is Buenos Aires safe for international students?

Yes. Like any large city, some neighbourhoods are safer than others. All of our coliving apartments are located in well-regarded residential areas: Palermo, San Telmo, and Almagro are popular with expats, students, and young professionals, and are generally considered safe for everyday living. Our tenants regularly walk, cycle, and use public transport throughout the city without issues.

What is the minimum rental period?

The minimum stay is 1 month. We accommodate stays of all lengths — from a single month to a full academic year or longer. Most of our tenants stay between 2 and 6 months.

Do I need to speak Spanish to live at Piso Compartido?

Not at all. Many of our tenants arrive without speaking any Spanish and leave having learned a great deal — partly from their flatmates! English is widely spoken in our apartments, and our team communicates in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese.

How do I book a room?

Simply send us a message via our contact page or email us at hola@pisocompartido.com.ar. Tell us your desired arrival and departure dates, your preferred neighbourhood (if any), and whether you want a single or double room. We'll get back to you quickly with availability and pricing.
